Wuxi, China, (10/18/2012) – Simton Technologies announced that China Mobiles, the largest mobile carrier in the world, granted Simton a key project, called VBOX. China Mobiles has invested over ten billions of CNY in constructing LTE (4G) networks all over China, The Research Institute of China Mobiles carefully evaluated Simton IPX series products and decided to grant the project to Simton to develop and make an LTE access device with multi-media application capabilities, especially the IMS based voice communication capability that can seamlessly work with the existing China Mobiles networks.

“The recognition by the best known carrier in the world is an honor of Simton Technologies”, said Jay Xia, Chairman of Simton Technologies, “The VBOX becomes a new member in Simton product portfolio and a significant milestone for Simton to move into 3G/4G/LTE arena.”  The up to 100M bandwidth of LTE technology makes it a fiber in air, which can solve the long standing issue of missing the last mile, for carriers such as China Mobile that does not own wired infrastructure. VBOX will become a killer product for China mobiles to offer VoIP service with public phone numbers to individual homes and SMB customers.

VBOX has WAN interface of 3G/4G/LTE, WiFi access, and Ethernet; it also has WiFi LAN (Hot Spot), and Ethernet LAN. VBOX has capabilities of full IP PBX, IP routing and firewall, and intelligent call routing. Through IMS core, the SIP trunks and SIP lines with public phone numbers allow VBOX to connect the world but over the air.
